Dead Zone Files

Case File: DZF-Awakened

The Dead Zone is a district forsaken by maps and memory—ruined shops, overgrown streets, silent churches, and homes consigned to static. The corridors were lifeless until presence folded back, the void awake and watchful. At 04:23, vacancy shifted: what once felt empty began to observe in return. These files document the moment the Zone ceased surrendering to decay—and began to gaze back.

Ghostly Apparitions

Evidence #14_17: At 04:24, presence detected in the east corridor. Apparition indistinct—humid breath fogging air, shadow outline over broken tile.

Notes: No thermal trace. Vanishes in single frame. Residual static lingers after movement. Field suggests aperture now records intent, not just form.

Mystic Orbs

glowing orb in corridor 04:27 AM
Corridor C

Utility Room
red orb by pew 04:29 AM
Sanctuary

South Alley
blue orbs cluster 04:32 AM
Crescent House
violet orb electrical 04:33 AM
Power Substation

Analysis: Orbs remain a persistent anomaly—spectral illumination absent visible source, resistant to digital filtering, stringently resistant to pattern recognition protocols.

Note: Orbitals often coincide with unexplained cold spots and audio anomalies (“reverse phoneme,” indecipherable murmurs).

Shadow Creeper

04:34 AM — Movement. Mirror catch. There, in the negative of the window: something crawled from the edge of the frame, low, the hint of a limb dragging across dust. No footsteps. The lens blurred, stuttered, almost refused. For a heartbeat, I saw my own silhouette—then something else unfolding beside it, neither reflection nor shadow. Zone responded with equal gaze.

Field log: Presence not seen with naked eye. Only recorded once camera remained perfectly still. Interference with baseline sensors. File flagged as “uncertain.”

Blood Stains

Evidence #21_03a

Field Note: Patterns on the kitchen tile do not match known trauma. Stains form an unnatural symbol by dawn, rearranged each visit. DNA sample inconclusive. Residual EMF noted.

Vandalism Delinquents

Rats in the Dark

04:36 AM — Sound rolls beneath silence. Rats, not seen but signaled: claws tick like rivulets over pipe and tile, evasive as the Zone’s stare. There are eyes here, low to the earth, trailing the witness from shadow to shadow. The dark is always busy.

Sensor log: Movement at 0.31m (floor). Number and pattern uncountable. Corridor is never empty, even when still.
